Civil Partnerships
At Glenspean Lodge we are very happy to now be able to host Civil Partnerships.
Civil Partnerships came into force in Scotland on 5th December 2005.
The legislation is designed to give same-sex couples the same legal rights and responsibilities as married couples
through the means of a Civil Partnership Registration.
The Act allows for Civil Partnership Registration to take place in either the registration office
or other places agreed by the Council.
Glenspean Lodge is such an "agreed place" as approved by the Highland Council.
Glenspean Lodge has for many years been a famous landmark in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
As a result we have played host to many weddings over the years.
Our experience at hosting such important events in people's lives is now extended to Civil Partnerships.
We can help you arrange the entire event.
Be that a small intimate occasion, or for large parties, whereby you will need probably sole use of the hotel and
possibly rooms at nearby hotels for your guests.
The room used for conducting civil partnerships is the Nevis View Room,
with extensive views of the Spean Valley and Nevis Range as your backdrop.
Red carpet and flowers decorate the room at these times and seating for your guests can be arranged in pew style.
Your photos of this most auspicious occasion, with the hotel rooms and gardens to compliment, should be a treasure.
After the Registrar has conducted the ceremony, you can adjourn to the Mackintosh Lounge Bar for a celebratory drink,
before returning to the Nevis View Room for your Banquet.
We can cater for any ceremony, small or up to a maximum of 85 persons for a sit down banquet.
Please contact us for our Ceremony Pack / Civil Partnerships, and we will send you further details on our services, with a list of options you should consider.
Further legal information on Civil Partnership registration can be obtained by calling our local Registrar on Fort William
